Nothing here leaves this browser

What you type is never sent to miqa.app or anywhere else, never saved, and is gone the moment you close the tab. The code below is drawn on your own computer out of what is in the boxes.

Photographs do not travel. A QR code holds a couple of thousand characters, not a picture. Take the hotel card and entrance photos on the phone itself.

My card

What a taxi driver needs in order to get you home. The Arabic line is the one that matters: copy it off the hotel's own card if you can.

The hotel's position is not on this page. It is captured on the phone by standing at the door and pressing a button, because a guessed coordinate points a lost pilgrim confidently at the wrong tower. Importing this code never erases one you have already saved.

My trip

For you, not for a stranger. This never appears on the card you hold up to a driver.

Family ID

What a paramedic needs in the first minute. Write allergies and medicines the way a doctor would read them, and keep them short.

Each person has a passport number and a policy number. Those two are never shown on the responder screen and never shown to a stranger: they are there for a consulate or an insurer, and only you see them.

Photograph this with the phone

  1. On the phone, open Miqa and go to My card.
  2. Tap Bring it across.
  3. Tap Photograph the code and point it at this screen.
  4. Check what it says it will change, then confirm.

Anyone who photographs this code has everything in it, including the medical details and the passport numbers. It is not locked and it is not encrypted. Do not leave it on a screen in a shared room, do not send it to anybody, and shred the paper if you print it.
